Cults & people who claim to be Jesus.

My CRU leader at college posted this video.

I just kind of want your take on this, because this is an apologetics site and i wonder what would happen if Alan got an established fact wrong or some philosophical thought experiment wrong. I mean if he's really Jesus, then you could ask him anything.

Eschatology I guess would be a neat topic to discuss considering that there are many warnings of false prophets. (how to spot 1 etc...)

Well I'm no expert, but based on the writings of the NT, I'd say this guy doesn't reflect any of the personality traits of Jesus in any way shape or form.

N.B. Trolls are neither interested nor committed to the truth!

The false prophets can be disproved on logical terms, but in my experience no one cares. There are many others offering more serious competition than A.J. Miller, who is something of a buffoon, but people are not looking for the one who can debunk them. They just care about what they like or dislike, and they happen to like the free deal that Christianity offers. Importantly, it would not have been possible for these pretenders to arise, had Jesus revealed more about His own nature and His standards for a higher society. In that case anyone trying to compete with Him, would support His purposes. So even when Jesus said, “Before of those claiming to be me,” He could have prevented this.
