I would hardly consider anything at that website  to be worth serious scholarly consideration.  First of all, she appears to infer this find somehow infers the Israelites viewed Yahweh as a solar deity.  But all the original article http://news.yahoo.com/blogs/sideshow/2-750-old-temple-discovered-israel-192009936.html claims is that the temple had an eastern opening that allowed the sunlight to illuminate the altar area.  This was common in the Ancient Near East whether the deity was a solar one or not.  It produces a visual effect that enhances the experience in the same way that stained glass does in Western cathedrals or the grand dome in the Hagia Sophia.  There is nothing in this find that infers "sun god" unless you want to find it.  Similarly, the book by Taylor is also greatly misrepresented.  He does not claim Yahweh was a sun god but that the Hebrews of a particular period used solar imagery to represent Yahweh.  There is a huge difference in those two claims but the sensationalistic Ms. Murdock (aka "Acharya S") tends to bend things to fit her own predetermined conclusions.  If your only tool is a hammer, then all the world becomes a nail.
