Forum Updates - Please read.
« on: March 02, 2015, 05:12:34 pm »
Attention community.

I'd like to thank you all for your patience over the last few months as the forum was locked down. I have just recently been in phone contact with a member of the Reasonable Faith board, and have finalised our plans for the forums going forward.

Beginning immediately, and to be implemented over the coming weeks, here are some of the changes that can and should be expected:

  • Two new user forums, as requested by this community. They have already been implemented, and I will be finding and moving any existing debates into the debate forum. If you have a testimony already posted in the past, please PM me with a link and I will move it into the testimony forum.
  • At least two new moderators to assist with new users as they arrive. We are sourcing our moderators to, where possible, fill in any time zones that are not being covered by existing moderators.
  • A clean out of unused or spam purposed forum accounts. This should not have any overt effect on the forum, but should hopefully speed up the software.
  • A new usergroup system that will allow our new moderator team to better spot problem accounts before they become problematic to the community.

If you have any feedback or concerns throughout this process, please do not hesitate to PM me so we can discuss them.

Once again, thank you all so much for your patience during this time, both in the forum lock down, and my attentions being not on the boards themselves, but at the back end of the software.

Here's to new days.

Regards,

Logos.

Our two new moderators are currently going through an induction process, and will introduce themselves shortly.

Everybody, please welcome Ethos and Pathos to the forums.

"Better" days?  Well that implies....

Just kidding (for now, as surely such discussion is bound to come up again [and again, ad infinitum] elsewhere soon enough).

Welcome and thanks for your service here!

Good news. Perhaps it'll again be safe to walk the streets at night.

Welcome to the forum :p

So, is it safe to come back?

Hey, all.

In going through your reports, it's clear that some of you feel the use of profanity is permissible on the forum. This is not the case. While existing reports are being dealt with, it'd be greatly appreciated if you could all refrain from using such language from here on out. This will reduce the amount of moderation on our end, and allow continued participation in this forum on yours.

Kind regards,

Pathos.

No problem.  I dislike profanity anyway.

Any chance of letting us know what words are profane?
