Nothing Speaks
« on: February 01, 2019, 02:31:51 pm »
If God came out of nothing, He certainly isn’t nothing now, and the things and ones He has made rise or fall, as He rises or falls. Jesus said no one comes to the Father but through Him, and one consequence is that no created soul can “solve” the riddle of creation. Only the Lord can speak authoritatively about the nature of God’s existence. As for the rest, almost all of this is word play. It isn’t actually very easy to think about “nothing.” If you try, you think about an object and the absence of the object. One moment it is there, the next it is gone. But something else is there, as particle physics assures us. To really know what “nothing” is, a mind would have to be conversant with the deepest properties of both matter and spirit. Physicists are learning about matter, but no one can learn about spirit. In general we shouldn’t worry, learning about God through the Lord’s Presence, and that the Lord’s smile means a happy eternity for all of creation.
