If he's smart he will self-pardon himself. The Supreme Court may or may not accept that he can. I'm guessing a 5-4 majority that he can do so.

What difference is if he resigns and Pence pardons him? Ford pardoned Nixon.

Basically, I'm against executing and even imprisoning past Presidents. Especially today where you have very corrupt liberals.

In any case, it's not unlimited power, though.  A presidential pardon has no effect for civil, state, or local offenses. Federal pardons don't apply in cases of impeachment either.

^ Trump was not avoiding paying tax, or allegedly raping women only while he was president. He did so before he was elected.

Why were there no criminal charges prior to 2015?

Perhaps for the same reason Bill Cosby was not prosecuted back when he was raping women.  Most women prefer to move on than to relive the trauma in a criminal or civil case.

Regarding taxes: complex, creative accounting can be very difficult to sift through.

To be sure, Trump has a bigger target on his back now, so there's more motivation to take him down. This can clearly result in accusations that never go anywhere, but the motivation to dig deeply is stronger now.

Trump is too old to run in 2024. He's already the oldest president to ever assume office. Has he or anyone around him ever indicated he intends to run in '24 if he loses this election?

It means Biden will not be the 46th President. He'll be the 47th.  We'll need new T-shirts.

Plus...there's a possibility SCOTUS would rule against a self-pardon on the principle that a person cannot be his own judge/jury.

I am too.  IMO, the best possible outcome will be to prosecute Trump, and if convicted, commute his sentence (not pardon). We need this to establish a President is not above the law.
