If you say, “I am a follower of Christ,” we know two things about you. First, you do not have an independent perspective of where the world should be headed right now, relying on another to lay out the guidelines. Second, you aren’t looking for genuine guidelines, since Jesus ever revolved in vagueness, never seriously opposing native human designs.

When the true leader arises he asks for other leaders. These see that whatever the leader says, they can see ten times what he can see needs to be done, in any given local situation. They rely on their own wit that may be a reflection of the ultimate leader’s goals. This is true God-service, stepping out for yourself, hoping that God will approve.
