Dr. Buskmiller is a board-certified maternal-fetal medicine physician and fetal interventionist at Baylor College of Medicine, serving Texas Children’s Hospital Austin and Christus Children’s in San Antonio.  Her research interests focus on device innovation in fetal surgery, ethics in surgical and medical care of high-risk pregnancy, and the psychological aspects of reproductive loss.  Her clinical focus is on fetal diagnosis, fetal surgery, and perinatal palliative care.  She has contributed forty peer-reviewed publications, over 50 conference presentations, two book chapters, and two patents to the project of optimizing the field of fetal intervention and diminishing the burden of pediatric disease and familial strain.
