US Judge Halts Deportation Of More Than 100 Iraqi Christians

A U.S. federal judge in Detroit has temporarily halted the deportation of 114 Iraqi Christians who are being held by Immigration Customs and Enforcement.  The potential deportees are subject to deportation due to having committed crimes or overstaying visas.  However, advocates are concerned that they will face “persecution, torture, or death” if they are deported to Iraq, where Christians have been targeted in recent times.
