Dr. Craig joined a panel of speakers to discuss contemporary penal substitutionary atonement theories. The session included the following presenters and topics: William Lane Craig - "On the Alleged Injustice of Penal Substitution" Douglas J. Moo - "The Word of the Cross in Paul" Mark A. Seifrid - "Participation in Christ and Current Discussion of the Atonement" Steve Porter - "Four Considerations in Favor of Penal Substitutionary Atonement" This session took place as part of the annual joint conferences of the Evangelical Theological/Philosophical Societies in November 2017. The conference theme was the 500th anniversary of the Protestant Reformation.
